Footloose is a timeless story about a rebel kid that moves to a small town and rebels against the town’s rules, Reverend, and sometimes other students. The major plot of the story revolves around Ren, the lead male character, fighting to bring dancing, rock music, and energy back to this small town that was rocked by tragedy which resulted in trying to control teenagers. The popularity of the first movie in the 1980’s led to a remake in 2011 featuring Julianne Hough.

Auditions for the play will take place Tuesday and Wednesday December 13th and 14th, and if needed, callbacks will be Thursday December 15th. Auditions will be held in the Tower auditorium.

Tower Drama Club veteran Julie Kastelan ‘17 said, “It’s very different, and I’m excited yet nervous.”

The show will take place on March 24th, 25th, and 26th at the middle school auditorium.
