browniesHomemade Brownies

To start your baking spree off, one of the best recipes you can have, is a home-made brownie recipe! You’re going to need:

1 Cup of Melted Butter                                 1 Cup Flour

                                                2/3 cup cocoa                                                    4 Eggs

1 tsp. Baking Powder                                      1 Cup Chocolate Chips(or nuts)

                                                 2 Cups Sugar

  1. Pre-set Your Oven to 350°
  2. Then, mix together your melted butter and cocoa. Try to make it as smooth as possible and then add the baking powder and sugar. Stir until slightly mixed. Finally, mix in the flour and eggs until the mix is totally integrated.
  3. Pour the mix into a 9 x 13 baking pan. Make sure that grease the pan with either butter or a cooking spray.
  4. Sprinkle on your toppings (chocolate chips/or nuts)
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes

*If you want to try something new. Take the brownies out a few minutes before they’re done and sprinkle peanut butter chips on top!

Marshmallow Pops

marshmallowMarshmallow pops are a cute and easy way to show your appreciation to your loved one. Not only do they look cool but they’re also relatively fast to make. You’ll need:

Large Marshmallows                                                      White or Milk (or both!) Chocolate

Sprinkles (or other toppings)                                      Paper Straws

Food Coloring

  1. Cut a slit or hole into the bottom of the marshmallow (so it’s easier to put the straw in later on)
  2. Put the straw in the marshmallow and put them in the freezer for 5-10 minutes
  3. Melt the chocolate in the microwave, stirring it every 30 seconds (add food coloring if you want). White chocolate burns easy so be sure you keep an eye on it.
  4. Dip the frozen marshmallows in the chocolate. Quickly tap off the excess chocolate
  5. Dip the chocolate coated marshmallow in the sprinkles or your other toppings. The chocolate will harden quickly so don’t wait to long to do so

Spaghetti Dinner For Two

Spspaghettiaghetti; an easy and almost effortless dinner. Yet it can be one of the best things you can make! It may be a little messy but who doesn’t love to eat carbs and feel happy with the one they love. All you have to do is boil some noodles, put on some marina sauce, and wait. You can even spice it up a little and even make heart shaped meatballs. Even some garlic bread would go nice with this dinner.

Steak Dinner for Two

   steak

At first a steak dinner may seem like a big deal and almost impossible to us teens but in reality it can be really easy! This is an especially good idea for people who are good at making food on the grill. It can be a thoughtful gesture and a learning experience for you. Boys should probably do this for their girlfriends, since boys are usually the masters of grilling. If you really want to go all out, try grilling a whole potato with butter and seasonings inside(the potato’s will be done a lot sooner than the steak). Green beans are also a good side to go with this dinner.

Ultimately, whether you’re eating your emotions or making someone else something this Valentine’s Day, food and happiness go hand in hand. You could bake your way to the center of your loved ones heart and keep them coming back for seconds each holiday.
