Student: Josh Anonick

Nominated by: Mr. Martin

Reason nominated: Always helping others and being a positive influence.

Student: Austin Krucker

Nominated by: Mr. Dougherty

Reason nominated: Austin is getting TOTW for swearing. I know that this is inappropriate behavior and should not be rewarded, but the meaning behind Austin’s poor choice of words deserves recognition. A student sitting next to Austin made fun of another student with special needs. Austin stood up for the student and basically told this other student to shut up (not those words). All I heard was the curse word and held Austin after class to punish him. When he told me the story, I still decided to write him up, but for TOTW, not a detention.

Student: Scott Coons

Nominated by: Ms. Sullivan

Reason nominated: Scott is a hard worker, always on task and willing to help others.

Student: Evan Whitehead

Nominated by: Ms. Jacobs

Reason nominated: I’m so glad I have Evan in my classes! Every day he does little things for others- opens doors, distributes books, helps clean up- without even being asked. Thanks, Evan!
