Everyone has a celebrity idol. Many people love to see their idols on stage. One person that goes to concerts to see her idols is Junior Sarah Woodruff ’16. Woodruff has seen39 people perform in concerts in her life and 18 concerts just this year alone.
Woodruff goes to all of her concerts with her closest friends such as Nina Padalino and Veronica Jurban, to have the best time as possible. “All of the concerts I’ve been to were Miley Cyrus/ Hannah Montana, Jonas Brothers, Demi Lovato, One Direction, 5SOS, Austin Mahone, Little Mix, the 1975, Ed Sheeran, Shawn Mendes, Alex Angelo, Flo Rida, Magan & Liz, Sammy Adams, The Wanted, Taylor Swift, the Janoskians, Bowling for Soup, Echo Smith, Fifth Harmony, I See Stars, Rocky Loves Emily, The Bad Suns, and Young Rising ,” Woodruff said. Woodruff tries her best to see her favorite celebrities perform as much as she can.
Like everyone, Woodruff has her favorite concerts that she will never forget. “My favorite concert would have to be One Direction and the 1975, because there was something always going on and they had really good music,” Woodruff said.
Some people often have attended concerts they didn’t enjoy so much. “I loved all the concerts I’ve been to, because I wouldn’t go to a concert I wouldn’t enjoy,” Woodruff added.
Maximizing the concert experience takes patience. One of the disadvantages would be waiting in long lines for the concerts. “The longest time I’ve waited in line for a concert was thirteen hours for the 1975 concert in November, but it was worth the wait,” Woodruff explained.
True fans want to be as close to the concert action as possible. “The concerts I’ve been the closest to the stage were the 1975 and Austin Mahone, because I was in front row,” Woodruff said.
Woodruff remembers her fist concert like it was yesterday. “My first concert was in fourth grade, it was the Hannah Montana the Best of Both Worlds Tour,” Woodruff said.
Woodruff has also met some of her celebrity idols. “Some celebrities I’ve met were Little Mix, Alex Constancio, Robert Villanueva, and Zach Dorsey. I also gave Matt Healy my number,” Woodruff explained.
Even though Sarah is a concert pro there are still some future events she has on her wish list. “Some concerts I haven’t been to, but I would like to are the Arctic Monkeys, Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber, and Miley Cyrus (not as Hannah Montana).”
Everyone knows concert tickets aren’t cheap, so Sarah just started a job to get more money for concert tickets. “I’ve spent over $1,000 on concert tickets,” explained Woodruff. It is clear that Woodruff going to concerts is just getting started.
