On December 16th, 2019 the students in the Wellness Committee at Warren Woods Tower High School helped Mrs.Morgan open their take on a safe space called the Reset Room. This sparked interest in reporter, Maria Allard who wrote about the Reset Room in the Warren Weekly Newspaper. Here students are able to have a safe, quiet, and comfortable space to escape the stresses of everyday school life. It is a great place for students who suffer from anxiety to quiet their mind. To learn more about the reset room we interviewed some of the committee members who played a big role in setting it up. When asked about what the Reset Room is to them Nazyvia Thompson and Kaylin Wagner stated, “It is a place where students can go when they are having emotional, sensory issues, or just need a place to destress and calm down.” The Reset Room took a lot of time and hard work to get running. When asked about the challenges they faced, Kaylin Wagner said, “ The Reset Room is still a work in progress and we are still figuring out how to keep it a Reset Room and not just a hang out place.” Warren Woods Tower High School is very lucky to have a special place like this. We can’t wait to see how the Reset Room will help WWT to become a better place.
