Detroit Lions Wide Receiver Golden Tate was traded to the Philadelphia Eagles on October 30th.The Lions, in return, received a third round pick for the receiver. The Lions signed him in free agency in 2014, and he immediately became the best receiver on the team. Golden Tate, who is now 30, is one of the best receivers in the league. Many Lions’ fans are upset about the trade because of how good he was on the Lions. It was also Tate’s last year on his five-year contract which means he would have become a free agent in the offseason. This will also free up some cap space for the Lions. The Eagles have also been looking for a wide receiver on the market since their WR Mike Wallace went down with a broken leg in week two.
