Both of these teams had high expectations going into the 2017-18 year, and after the time ran out on the clock all 16 times this season, these were the two last standing after both championship games.

The Eagles went into the postseason after putting up an astounding record of 13-3. They cleared their first opponent, but things started to look a little shaky going into the recent NFC Championship game against the Vikings.

The game was in question due to starting quarterback Carson Wentz sustaining a serious injury to his left leg a couple weeks ago. Going into Sunday’s contest, all the talk was questioning whether or not backup Nick Foles has what it takes to perform in the playoffs, and to put it lightly, he answered those questions, throwing for a total of 358 yards and three touchdowns, all leading to the defeat of the Vikings by a score of 38-7.

For the Patriots, the Super Bowl is an all too familiar place. They are led by Quarterback Tom Brady, the man responsible for recording five Super Bowl wins in the eight times he has been there with his team. Per usual, Brady had a solid performance against the Jaguars this past Sunday only ten yards off from throwing for 300. Brady recorded two touchdowns on the night by way of pass.

It should also be noted that this is not the first time in recent history the two teams met in the Super Bowl. The last meeting was in the 2004 Super Bowl, where Brady and the Pats beat the Eagles by a slim margin, the score being 24-21.

The Patriots are the favorite in this contest, with the official vegas odds having them at +5.5 making the Eagles the obvious underdogs, in case you were looking to gamble on a team winning (18+) or simply have a friendly bet with someone.

The Super Bowl will be held in Minnesota on February 4th. Kick-off is scheduled for 6:30 PM, and will be broadcasted on the CBS Sports Network. The real question is, who do you want to win?
